1945 CANADA 5 CENTS - AU/UNC CONDITION - MISSING PLATING

Description: BACKGROUNDPlease see the pictures to make your own assessment but from everything I have researched, this is likely a rare error variety due to the missing chromium plating on the underlying steel. Specifically, there are Obv. & Rev. pictures of the coin itself surrounded by six normal plated 1945 five cent examples. Notice given the very good surface quality of this coin (see below) and how it's overall hue on both sides matches the parts of the other where the chromium playing has been worn off expositing steel. PICTURES / QUALITYIn regard to the pictures, capturing the exact luster of any coin with a camera as it is seen in-person by the naked eye is surprisingly difficult. These pictures at 2.5-10x magnification are not exact but still a good representation of the actual coin, even though many of the surface marks are highly exaggerated and not nearly as visible and predominate when seen in person.
