1950s Southern Bell Dress Girls Handmade Victorian Green Vintage Size 5 6 7

Description: I found this lovely dress at an estate sale and I think it might have been used back in the 1950s for a dance recital as it was in with some other dance costumes.It's a southern belle type dress for little girls! It is handmade so there are no tags at all on it. My guess is a girls size 5 to 7, but I will give all measurements below.It is green and I do not know what the fabric is but it is sheer/see through and made of all kinds of little squares...see last pic.You would definitely want a slip under this. The green lace that trims this is exactly the same color as the fabric. It does zip up the back and the zipper works great. There is a hook/eye at the top of the neck that needs one side stitched down.Due to this being so old, I have not washed it (it's very clean anyway) nor tried to iron it. My guess would be to dry clean it and have it pressed there. I found no holes or stains but I did find on the sleeve in the armpit the stitching is a little loose...and the seam in the left sleeve has come unstitched about 1 1/4"..see last pic.Chest, across front, armpit to armpit measures 14"Waist, across front only measures 12"Length from top of shoulder to bottom measures 32.5"Opening around the bottom of the dress measures 88"Ties for belt measure 44" long each.Any ??? please email..thanks for looking.
