Description: VERY NICE MID TO HIGH-GRADE 1956 TOPPS NEAR COMPLETE BASEBALL SET (331/340) WHICH INCLUDES MANTLE AARON, MAYS, WILLIAMS, BANKS, CAMPANELLA, WYNN, SLAUGHTER, FELLER, MATHEWS, RIZZUTO, FOX AND A TON OF OTHERS + NEARLY EVERY TEAM CARD + TONS OF HIGH#S. TOUGH TO FIND IN NICE SHAPE Overall set condition is a solid EX+ in my OPINION (yours MAY vary!) Set varies from mostly VG to NRMT. The majority is in the VGEX to EX range, with a LARGE number of EXMT and some NRMT examples thrown in that pick up the grade. Cards are pretty crisp overall, even ones with soft corners. Some centering issues, but the majority are decently to well centered. Clearly displayed in new pages. Virtually NO fillers. Stars and team cards softer on average. Stars grade below: Harridge VGEX+/EX (corner wear, tiny wrinkle by tip of top left corner, nice card) Williams G- (rounded corners, couple hairline wrinkles, tiny paper loss at tips of couple corners) Spahn VG- (corner wear, two creases towards right edge) Banks G (corner wear, paper loss by tip of top right, right edge wear, small surface crease by lower right) BERRA VG/VG+ (corner wear, surface wrinkle across middle) Kaline VGEX+/EX (corner wear, tiny hairline wrinkle by bottom right corner near tip) Campanella F/G (corner war, writing front and back, creasing) MAYS F (white back, corner rounding, various creases, clean back) MANTLE PSA 1 (GROSSLY UNDERGRADED, appears Ex/Ex+, no creases, tape stains on front only) AARON G/VG (white back, fuzzy cirners, creade along middke of card otherwise appears much nicer, coean back) Mathews G (corner wear, heavy crease near left edge) Rizzuto G/VG (off center, corner wear, creasing) Fox VG/VG+ (corner wear, surface crease near right edge) Hodges VG+/VGEX (corner wear, tiny hairline wrinkle) Killebrew VG- (corner wear, crease by left side) Martin G/G+ (appears EX at first, tiny paper loss by right edge, surface wrinkle) Feller VG- (off center, corner wear, crease by left edge with minor paper loss, appears nicer) Ford appears G/G+ (altered top edge, miscut, surface wrinkle) Reese VGEX (corner wear, hairline wrinkle) Larsen VG- (corner wear, creasing by lower left) Hard to find out there in higher grade without paying several thousand. Priced fairly for a collector to enjoy, or break it apart, get cards graded and use it as an investment. Perfect as a gift for friends or family.
