Description: This lot features the 1970 Topps Ray Oyler #603 PSA 9! --- The archetypal "good-field, no-hit" player, Oyler relinquished the Detroit shortstop job to centerfielder Mickey Stanley to strengthen the Tiger offense in the 1968 World Series. Still, Dick McAuliffe called him "the best shortstop I ever played with." Seattle fans, feeling Oyler was the Pilot most needy of support, organized the "Ray Oyler Fan Club" in spring training. Oyler almost ruined it by homering to win the Pilots' first home game. He was supposed to be an underdog. He ended up filling the role perfectly, batting .165 as their regular shortstop. Here’s a great looking example of the 1970 card here. This beauty has 4 great looking corners, 4 super nice borders and a blazing surface with full gloss, color and clarity. The reverse is crisp and clean with pack fresh background color, near perfect centering and no marks or blemishes of any kind. Buyer adds 2.50 for ship insured, US customers only, cc and m.o. payments go out next day, checks held 5 days. Please email with questions. Always combined shipping on multiple purchases. Thanks, and good luck.
