Single Color Kits 8 grams glow pigment 3 mixing cups and mixing rods 2 syringes, 3 mL each with 15 gauge blut dispensing needles 8 mL resin and 8 mL hardener Enough material to coat 4 - 5 large Salas 6X, Salas PL68, Tady 4/0 or JRI-66 jigs Multi Color Kits: Green, White + Violet 8 grams each of green, white and violet glow pigment (24 grams total) 6 mixing cups and mixing rods 3 syringes, 3 mL each with 15 gauge blunt dispensing needles 16 mL resin and 16 mL hardener Enough material to coat 12 - 15 Salas 6X, Salas PL68, Tady 4/0 or JRI-66 jigs Directions Clean the jig with water and let dry. To cover 5 squre inches (approximately 1 Tady 4/0 jig), add 2 grams of pigment to 2 mL resin and 2 mL of hardener to mixing cup. Mix with mixing rod for one minute. To cover smaller areas, use less pigment, resin and hardener. But, always use a 1:1 ratio of resin to hardener. Apply material to a jig and let it self-level. Ensure your jig is level to begin with. Cure time is 12 hours. For finer detail, add mixed epoxy and pigment to a 3 mL syringe and dispense with blunt tip needle. Alternatively, use a toothpick or other thin object for even finer detail. TIP: To achieve the brightest glow, pre-coat your jig with a white spray paint or primer. This will help make an even brighter glow. Click the video below to learn more. Charging Up Your Jig Use a 365 - 390 nm UV flashlight, ambient room light or sunlight. Halogen and incandescent lights can be used also. Note: The violet color does not charge-up well under a UV light. It is best to use sunlight, or other type of flashlight, incandescent or flourescent light. Questions and Answers Q: How do I apply the epoxy? A: To coat a jig like of about 5 square inches in area, just mix 2 mL or resin with 2 mL of hardener and 2 grams of glow powder. Mix for a minute and then apply using a pick or the provided syringe. Make sure your jig stays level when applying epoxy so that you get an even coating! Q: Do I need to paint my jigs white before using the glow powder paint? A: If you apply over a white background, the jig will appear to glow brighter. Applying over a dark or grey background can result in decreased glow brightness. You can use a white primer or most white spray paints to apply a base coating. Just make sure it dries completely before you apply the epoxy. Q: Do I need to clear coat my jigs? A: No. The two part epoxy will cure to a smooth glossy finish. No need for a top / gloss coat!. Q: Will the epoxy stick to my jig? A: This two part epoxy will permanently bond to any of your wood, plastic or metal jigs. Once cured, it is not pratically possible to remove the coating. Q: Why does my glow violet epoxy coating glow dimly? A: The reason why is usually because it hast not been exposed to the right wavelength of UV light. The glow violet color is special because without the right UV light, it will not glow very brightly. Often times, UV flashlights are not effective and the powder paint must be exposted to direct or ambient sun light, or an incandescent / halogen light, in order to glow. Given that the glow violet color is not as bright as green, aqua and some other colors, any undercharging will show up as a dim violet glow color. For best results, expose to direct or ambient sunlight. This item includes a 100% money-back guarante.
