Published by James S. Virtue. Not dated but assume from the publisher's name around 1860. Large Hardbacks, 808 and 1023 pages, 18.5 cm by 25.5 cm (set spans 13.5 cm on the bookcase). As Found Has had some repair with original leather from the book spines laid over a modern book cloth book spine and original cloth on the boards. Some staining to the boards with volume 2 more affected than volume 1. Binding intact but some gapping between adjacent pages at the front and end of the book. The endpapers are not original. Several pages have underlining in blue crayon. Some other marks. Water stains to some of the plates in volume two.
