Description: For your consideration is a nice antique vestibule mortise door lock set manufactured by Yale & Towne in Stamford Conn. in the early 1900's. The set is # 790 RH as shown in the 1929 Yale trade catalog. The set comes with brass knobs, back plates and lock cylinder with 3 keys. The latch, lock face plate, back plates and many of the internal parts are made of brass. The lock body is cast iron. The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - it has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled. The lock is not reversible - it will only work with a right hand swing door. Dimensions of the face plate: 7-1/4 x 1-5/32", Distance between the lock face and center-of-hub (set back): 2-3/4", Distance between center-of-hub and center-of-lock-cylinder: 3".
