Description: For sale is this pair of Victorian-era man and woman in blue outfits (probably French). I do not know the maker of these and suspect that they were created in the late 1800's. The figures are 12" tall and have very fine detail in the clothing and nicely detailed painting in the faces and outfits. There is some gold gilting also around some of the main edges and shoes. See the condition description and photos. These are very nice, antique figurines. I believe the gentleman probably held a parasol at one point. There does appear to be a hole in one hand where a stick would have sat and an open hand that would have probably also held onto that same stick. My best guess is a parasol for the Victorian time period. These are fairly heavy and thick ceramic or bisque constructions.
