Description: Antique Rare Panoramic Photo C. H. Swallow Land Company Rio Grande Valley, Texas January 5, 1922 Up for sale is an antique panoramic photo measuring about 42" long x 8". Ziebell Studio, McAllen, Texas. C.H. Swallow & Company were land speculators and boosters of the era. For example, they founded the town of Forum, which was later named Swallow, and then incorporated as Alamo in the late teens or early 1920's. It's not entirely clear where this photo was taken, but it was clearly from that era and region at least. The photograph is strongly scrolled up, some discolorations and creases as seen. The whitish/blue coloring toward the right is an artifact of our lighting -- not present in the photo. Stored in a smoke-free environment.
