You slide your belt through the loop on this model, as it is closed off with a 4-post design. We made it this way, so that there is no way you can lose or accidentally have the sheath fall off of your belt. If you would prefer a sheath that has an open-ended belt clip, please browse some of the other horizontal carry knives that we carry. Please note: when mounting the sheath horizontally on your belt (scout carry), the knife handle sits a slight 10-15 degree angle for easier deployment (see photos).
