Alexander palms are medium-sized palms that grow up to 30 feet tall, but usually reach around 25 feet tall in gardens12. They grow quickly, and under the right conditions, can grow by more than 1m per year3. They prefer full to part sun locations, but can grow in part shade14. The King palm can be grown both indoors and outdoors. The tree prefers partial sunlight but can also grow well in full sunlight.
