Description: What a unique item. During the final round of the 1935 masters tournament, Gene Sarazen made golf history by hitting his four wood second shot on the par five 15th hole for a spectacular double eagle. This set is a miniature reproduction of his club. It is handcrafted in pure sterling silver and was strictly limited to 1935 pieces. The golf club measures 8 inches. The box is just over 9 inches wide, 6 inches long, and just under 2 inches tall when closed. In addition to the golf club, the set also includes a sterling silver ball marker with Sarazen’s silhouette. The description of the set is engraved on a piece of sterling silver. The ball on the box is sterling as is the plaque on top of the box. The certificate of authenticity includes Gene Sarazen’s autograph. While the certificate of authenticity says that 1935 of these were made, this is only the third one we have ever seen. Rare Masters item for the serious collector.
