Description: Personal ALTAR non-traditional collection of over 60 sacred-space ephemera Altars are traditionally places where the divine and human worlds interact. The root of the word altar means “high place” which reflects how symbolically sacred and important it is in spiritual practice. This is a mostly eastern spiritual and esoteric collection of ephemera. Over 60 items includes highly eclectic mix of images of gurus (like Swami Muktananda and Gurumayi Chidvilasananda), spirit guides, revered spiritual teachers, holy persons; calligraphed tarot card notes, tree of life drawings, hand-written quotes from the Bhagavad Gita, post cards from friends in an ashram in India, Hebrew Alphabet chart – which when they were assembled constituted an altar which embodied a sense of personalized sacredness. As a free-thinking spiritual explorer there really were/are no rules when building an altar. The practice is so personal, that the only key ingredient is to listen to your own heart and soul. NOT INCLUDED are the three-dimensional objects that were part of the altar these items came from such as candles, statues, feathers, stones, crystals, shells and the stacked compartments, shelves, drawers and nooks which originally came from a roll-top desk and upon these items were assembled. To believers, energy resonates from these images and objects and support a feeling of sacredness. Please see and examine all pictures for details, they are considered part of the description. All measurements though carefully taken should be considered approximate. Items are sold “AS IS” and NO RETURNS unless otherwise listed with conditions.
