Description: Up for auction is very rare Borden's milk can that was repurposed many years ago to carry along gas for your vintage ride. It was modified by welding in a screw-in cast brass cap made by The Central Specialty Co of Detroit, Mich. A copper tubing spout with a screw cap was also added. This beautiful can was also modified by surface welding to obscure the Bordens name on the vertical surface, but the can's manufacturer (F. P. Co. Of Mich) name is still there. Refurbishing included sandblasting and sanding off the old red paint, repainting and clearcoating. The brass and copper additions were polished and clearcoated.
