Description: DESCRIPTION:There is very little good information as to the origin of this brass lighter. Per the several shown on Worthpoint, the lighter was an advertising promotion for the 1965 film of the same name. My first thought was that it might be a liquor premium as there were several LORD JIM spirits companies, both rum and gin, from the 60's-70's. In any case it is a cool lighter made in the style of ZIPPO but produced by the company AMFARCO, Siam. AMFARCO is a company known for the jewelry it produced throughout the 19th century, mostly in sterling silver. Measures 2.25" X 1.5" inches. Signed on bottom AMFARCO, Siam CONDITION:This is the lighter is in VERY GOOD condition. I don't like to polish or fix my estate finds so what you see is exactly as found. The flint wheel rotates and it does have spark. Overall dull shine. Insert pops out fine. Has the flint screw. Top sits flush, opens closes without any wonkiness. No noteworthy damage or dents but do pleas look carefully at all the photographs.
