This French map was used by both American (AEF) and French soldier’s in the area of “LE DOIS DES CHIENS” during World War I. the second edition trench map is dated March 2019 18 and shows in BLUE the newly revised and updated trench systems in the area as well as many past artillery markings/coordinate locations in RED. These RED numbered circles were meant to assist American and French artillerymen in the area for quick and accurate barrage fire on a designated location. This map shows the battlefields of HALLOVILLE and ANCERVILLER where the 77th Infantry Division and 79th Infantry Division saw combat during this time.
