Spectacular Mid-Century Modern Painting by Seattle Artist Russell. This is either the work of Jim Russell or Earl "Rusty" Russell, talented brothers who worked in textured oils. I would tend to lean toward Rusty as the artist. Russell paintings are usually finished in a signature rustic wood handmade frame, created by the artist and/or Rob Russell their brother. The colors are Oranges and Earthtones, making it a perfect fit for the mid century / modern / or Bohemian environment. The Russells are known for heavily textured paintings in vibrant colors many of which were created in their modest Seattle home studios in the 1970's. Their work has increasingly gained in popularity both locally and nationally over recent years. There is some mystery about the artists themselves such as why they typically signed with only the last name, where they obtained skills, why they apparently stopped selling art after the 70's, etc. The painting is in good condition overall. Dimensions without Frame: Approx. H 38.5 in x W 47.5 in. Creator: Rusty Russell Creation Year: Unknown Medium: Oil Movement & Style: Modern Period: 1972 Condition: In good condition overall.
