Issued on 28 December 1948 to Voldemar Shabak, a Latvian national. The ID shows that Shabak had a rank of Military Justice Major and served as Deputy Military Prosecutor of Latvian Railroads. The ID shows his complete service record from 1918; he briefly fought as a Red Army soldier in the Civil War before joining a “propaganda detachment” and served as military prosecutor during WW2 (far from the front lines). The ID also shows his awards: Order of the Red Star issued in 1944, Order of the Red Banner in 1947 and Medal for Victory over Germany. The ID shows that in 1955 Shabak was taken off military registry due to reaching the age limit. The ID is in Good condition. The cover has warped and shows cracks but is still sound and the writing on the front is clear.
