Description: Very Rare SMTS Triple Version Lotus Europa White Metal Kit to Build Either GLTL or Brands Hatch Miles #117 or Oliver #116 Boxing Day Debut Winning Cars or Road S1 - Complete Mint in Box - Free Shipping Not out of the box from time it was bought new by me in mid 1980's until recent photo shoot. 100% as original, unassembled, bagged, untouched, mint, and complete kit. This is the original RL8 version that allows three different cars to be built, two different "Race" and "GLTL" -- or four if you want to make your own "Road" S1 replica. This is NOT the later and more common RL8a road car only or RL8b GLTL only kits. Decals and extra parts can create the unforgettable Gold Leaf Team Lotus 47 livery in red and white colors, with side emblems Or you can create either of the two 1966 Brands Hatch Boxing Day Lotus 47 debut white cars. The one driven by John Miles (#117) would finish 1st in the 1600 class. The other, driven by Jackie Oliver (#116), would finish 8th, down from 2nd due to a 60 second penalty. Decals sets for both plus correct intake snorkel are also included. Only this early RL8 version lets you build either of these two. But as I mentioned, you can also create your own S1 replica if you want instead. This is the real 47 full options kit, too often confused by sellers who either have the kit that only builds an S1, or worse, is neither an S1 nor a 47, and are confusing it with the later and much easier to find Europa Twin Cam kit. But regardless, you practically never find one of these triple option kits that has sat untouched in its box from the day it was bought until offered for sale. That gives the modeler their own choice of how to finish. I'm partial to the Miles #117 w/snorkel myself, but the GLTL scheme is so totally iconic.
