Description: This antique children's picture book published by Whitman Publishing in Racine Wisconsin in 1929 is about 11-3/4 inches tall and 9-1/8 inches wide. The front cover (showing this is book # W919) was illustrated by Helen Frazee. The back cover and each of the 8 internal pages has a short (under 10 sentences) story beautifully illustrated by renowned artists like Hazel Frazee, Helen Chamberlin, Eleanor Duke, and G. Shaw-Walworth. While this is a softcover book simply bound with 2 staples, the cover and pages are heavy paper almost like a lightweight cardboard. They are in good antique condition with no writing and minimal creases and discoloration. The most significant damage is that the front cover is torn at the binding edge from the lowest staple down to the bottom of the page. This book is great for anyone interested in early 1900's children's books or their illustrators. Ships USPS Medial Mail - unless buyer selects and pays for another shipping method.
