Description: Offered are an old pair of bricks. One is an antique 'Saginaw Block' paving brick made by the Saginaw Paving Brick Co. 1894 to 1917, in Michigan. This size was used for street paving and measures about 8 3/4 inches long by 4 inches wide, and 3 1/4 inches thick, a bit heavier than the common brick (over 9 pounds). When taken from the streets they would have wear on one side from street traffic. This brick was on a side apron and never received much wear and is in very nice condition. Made of clay and put through a vitrified process to make them a harder stronger brick. The second is a sidewalk or building brick that is about 8 3/4" long X 3 3/4" wide and 2 5/8" thick. Historical and collectible. (1) See 6 photos.
