This unique HiFi epitomizes the brilliant American craftsmanship that ruled back in the day, from it's incredible sound, to it's unique design, to it's solid construction.This beauty was made in 1957, is full tube powered, has been completely restored, and sounds just as good as it looks! Here's a small sample! Watch Video Just the right size, so you can fit this cute Hi-Fi in practically any room of your house!Measuring 20 inches long, by 19" deep and standing 25" tall. The original cabinet was recovered in vintage style coverings, the same kind they used back in the 50's.The gold tapered legs really give this that mid century look, and also unscrew from the cabinet for convenient shipping.(The brass accents on the bottoms of the legs do show a little tarnishing, no big deal, and only mentioned for accuracy.) The sharp looking Magnavox 4 speed record changeroperates super smooth, was completely taken down, cleaned and re-lubed in order to operate as it should.See photo of the many parts that were redone!(There is a needle scratch on the plastic trim, and a couple very small splits near the knobs; common to see, and no big deal at all, nothing very noticeable.) Tonearm has a new stereo cartridge and stylus installed,so you can play both Mono or Stereo records on this. You can stack records, and each will drop in turn, and play through. There's also a fun 45 adapter, which allows you to stack 45 records, and they will all play automatically!When not in use, the automatic adapter sits conveniently inside it's holder at the right of the changer. The front control panel with it's translucent amber and brass knobs allow you to adjust:Loudness, Bass, and Treble The 4 tube amplifier sounds just beautiful, with all new capacitors and resistors,along with two NOS military 35C5 output tubes that give the amplifier that fabulous warm, full tube punch! (See photo of the many amplifier parts that needed replacing!) Triple Alnico speakersprovide the full sound you would expect from a vintage player. What more can I say?An all together great design from back in the day when every detail mattered...form as well as function! When this fun Magnavox is set up in your home, you'll be simply thrilled listening to your records, on a vintage player that looks like it came right out of the store!!!
