It's one of the most iconic microphones and made famous by Elvis Presley and other famous musicians with its clean Art-Deco lines give this mic it's beautiful appearance and one of the most sort after microphones in the music business... This 55SW made its debut in 1951 and had a run for a few decades until being discontinued in the late 1970's. The mic was gutted, cleaned and made into a "working lamp / night light"..."IT's BEAUTIFUL"!!!This SHURE 55SW has a metal mesh screen and casts one beautiful ambiance once activated, as you can see in the pictures provided. This will make an excellent accent piece anywhere in the home, studio, mancave, or office and this mic / lamp will screw onto any microphone desk or floor stand. ***NOTE*** With this auction you will be provided with the stand that you see in the pictures (Others do NOT provide Stands with the Microphone) ... The Microphone itself is in excellent physical condition and the "ribs" are free of any dents or fractures and it has a "BEAUTIFUL" satin chrome finish with very lite wear. This is one Great Looking, Custom "Working" microphone lamp... The Shure badge markings look very nice and completely legible. The on / off switch on the mic itself does not operate the light, (to turn on and off the light) the switch is located on the cable. The main joint mechanism on this mic has lots of tension and works perfectly allowing you to tilt the head of the mic, putting light wherever you need it and in the Best position for display purposes... A cable connector is attached to the bottom of the mic as if there was a regular, useable "Mic Cable" attached to complete its realistic "original" appearance... The light - cable itself is just shy of 8 feet in length and has an in-line on / off switch. Simply plug this in and enjoy this "Collectors" Microphone appearance...
