Description: This vintage dinner plate from Adams China is an antique original, produced in England in the 1930's. It is part of a collection of plates depicting scenes of America. It is a transferware plate that was hand tinted before glazing. The borders are the older pink and yellow wild rose border. It is stamped "Colored Engravings for the People, Published by N. Currier Lithographer". This design is "The Road - Winter" It is showing a wintery scene with a couple in a horse drown sled. The plate has a diameter of 10 3/8 inches and is made of porcelain, with an art nouveau style and a multi-color design. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
