Description: This wonderful set of German pewter would be great for any collector! The set is in great vintage condition, no chips or cracks, and expected tarnish from use/age only Here are more details:Lot of 4 marked German pewter cups and shot glasses.Shot glasses are each 2 1/8" tall by 1 1/2" wide at the top. Both glasses have the same three-panel reliefs with scenes of a man handing a woman flowers, a man and woman hugging, and four figures reading/singing together. Each shot glass is clearly marked under the bottom with "SKS ZINN, 95%, Made in W. Germany". Pewter Cup #1 is 3 1/8" tall by 2 1/4" wide at the top. It has three-panel reliefs depicting a man handing flowers to a woman, eight figures in a courtyard listening to a man read, and two women doing daily chores outside. The cup is clearly marked under the bottom with "Frieling-Zinn Serie Spitzweg, 95% Germany". Also, along the inner ridge underneath the bottom, are embossed words which I can't translate. Pewter Cup #2 is 3 3/8" tall by 2 1/2" wide at the top. This cup seems to be older as it is heavier compared to Cup #1. It also has three-panel reliefs starting with the city name "VAREL" above a crest/coat of arm, then a beautiful depiction of a church and the word "KIRCHE" under the relief, and finally a sculpted windmill with the word "WINDMUHLE" beneath the relief. The cup is marked only with a maker's logo which I haven't been able to decipher.I will very carefully package and ship these great cups using USPS Ground Advantage.
