Description: For sale is this vintage Plumb official boy scout axe, hatchet, weighing 1lb. 6.6 oz. overall, with handle.. Signed "Plumb", with the Boy Scout Be Prepared logo on one side, it has a 4-1/4" long head, with a 3" wide edge, with a 1" X 2-1/4" poll. The edge is good, very slightly rough, and will respond well to honing by a experienced hand. The poll shows heavy use and wear, with splaying, all as pictured. The 13-1/2" long wooden handle is very dry, with some chipping, and with lots of worm holes, long ago abandoned. Fair overall condition, but a pretty cool survivor. Any honing, sharpening, cleaning and detailing is left up to you.
