Description: . Beautiful vintage hand embroidered crazy quilt. Silk & cotton irregular patches secured & overstitched with embroidery. Backed in a rust red heavy cotton fabric. Measures 86" long & 79" wide. There are large snaps at top of quilt & 27" down right side. I imagine to insert a blanket originally but as some patches deteriorated it appears that some were added & machine zig-zagged through the backing. No longer completely open to insert a duvet or blanket. Funny pocket sewn into top of quilt. A beautiful quilt but does have some tattering & fraying of the silk pieces. Some fading to backing.
