Description: Up for sale a Wallace Silversmiths Art Deco octagonal shaped 4 piece tea set circa 1930's. The set consists of a teapot, creamer, lidded sugar bowl and waste pot. Each of the 4 tea set pieces is raised on a octagonal base which corresponds to the shape of each tea set item. Quite stylish with a great Art Deco look. The teapot measures 6.5" H x 9" handle to spout x 5" D. The creamer measures 3.5" H x 6" handle to spout. The covered sugar bowl measures 5.5" H x 6.5" handle to handle and the waste pot measures 3.25" H x 5" W. Each piece has an engraved monogram of the initials SAS. Each piece is marked as shown with the Wallace silverplate mark, NS for nickel silver, 29- the date perhaps? and 3104N the pattern number. Antique condition with normal signs of age, wear and use and remaining tarnish to exterior and interior of the 4 tea set pieces. The lid of the teapot is off its hinge and would need to be repaired.
