You won’t get a thicker hide than this as it was harvested in the coldest time of the year. The tail was harvested late this fall. This hide portion was air, salt and borax dried/tanned. Approximately 80+ square inches - 9” wide to 9”-10”long section, from the body of the deer. See pictures for hair length and color and measurements. The section is relatively flexible, and most if not all of the flesh has been removed. The tail was borax/salt and air dried too. Approximately 12” long and 5” wide. See pictures with yard stick.
